Lay-Felt Filament 1,75 mm, coil 250 g
Description
Lay-Felt filament is a felt 3D printing filament from the maker of Laywood, Laybrick and BendLay filaments - also known as the Poro-Lay Series. Lay-Felt filament is a part rubber-elastomeric polymer and part PVA. What does that mean? Well once you soak your print in water, the PVA dissipates and you're left with a rubber polymer, reminiscent of felt. It's ideal for making filters, soft membranes, and other flexible, permeable things.
We recommend leaving your print in water for 1-4 days to gain full advantage of this flexible material. Otherwise, the raw print will be rigid and strong, due to the PVA element.
The general printing temperature for Lay-Felts 225-235°C, but like any speciality filament, you may need to do a bit of experimenting to get it just right.
